LIDO is located at the heart of Calgary’s festival scene. Kensington’s annual Sun and Salsa Festival in July spices things up by putting the Village’s food and drink establishments to the test with their most interesting salsa recipe challenge. Just a short stroll away to Princes’ Island Park, you can catch many summer music festivals, like the Calgary Folk Music Festival, Shakespeare in the Park, and Eau Claire’s Taste of Calgary.

Kensington has long been a destination for art & culture. The Plaza Theatre, in the heart of Kensington, is the city’s longest running movie theatre. The Plaza is known for showing independent movies and cult classics. Every Fall, it is a host of Calgary’s International Film Festival where you can get your fill of over 200 multi-genre films from around the world.
